Over the Christmas break a friend told me about a lady who's husband had passed away and left behind his collection of cars. She needed some help selling the cars, shop tools and other stuff and I agreed to help her out. I went to her place yesterday with my hopes not too high because not all of these adventures turn out the way you want. Well this one was different!! Look what I found. 1947 Lincoln 2 Door Coupe and 1953 Ford Victoria 1947 Lincoln Continental Convertible
Investigate what those things are worth before anyone decides to torch the springs and paint if flat black with a spider web grille! Even as projects i'm sure they are still worth decent bucks.
Those Lincolns need to be restored to their original condition. It will be a lot of work but it will be worth it!!!
1946 Ford Snowblower. I bet some of you guys back East wished you had one of these! This truck works they just used it a couple weeks ago on the driveway. 1952 GMC Pumper. This one is runnimg also.
Wow, one hell of a find. From your public profile it looks like you know your way around cars, and their value. Hope that you get your pick of the litter as part of compensation for your help. Sure that once you have things sorted out you will post them here first, before eBay, Hemmings, etc. Keep us updated. Thanks
This was the guys last project he was working on. 1959 Ford Skyliner. It looks like it is pretty much done just needs paint assembly and upholstery. She said the top was working fine before he took it apart and is still working.
It's a shame the gentleman didn't get to finish them. Let that be a lesson for those who collect "someday" cars.
This is the prize that will make all the effort worth it. This is going to be mine. 1934 5 window coupe. Brakes have been converted to hydraulic, has tube shocks, Flathead engine. The laquer paint is checked and flaking in spots but not too bad. He bought this car for $10 in 1958. I was a gentleman and gave her $20, so they doubled their money!!
Yea, buy nice stuff like this guy...I will leave some of you turkeys I know, some nice shit when I kick off....but don't plan on that soon, god willing!
This is an outstanding find. Where are these cars physically located (City, State)? I am very interested in the Lincolns and Lincoln parts. Do you have a point of contact, phone number or email address you can share?<O</O<O</O
