Projects New year, old metal

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Gülrod von Gassenpass, Jan 2, 2010.

  1. I found some projects today. Gotta love this climate for the solid metal. I need to talk to the owner to see about buying some of these. If anyone's (seriously) interested, what do you like and what is it worth?

    Happy New One!

and where would this climate be?

  7. Have some of these been burned out?Funny no paint is left on a couple of them and the inside of one looks burned out.If they have been burned,it will present problems.

  9. I don't think they've been burned but to be honest, I wasn't looking for that. I'll try to get that one figured next time I visit.

    They are in Oregon.

I thought the same thing. The seams are exposed in the pic of the 55 below. They should be covered with lead.

What about the 34 BB truck? I could use some cab parts for sure (firewall, dash, cowl vent, whole thing). That 35 isn't bad either. It must be southern Oregon, as the eastern part is really dry and the NW part is wetter than that. Enough brush to hide things but not enough to cover them with blackberries and deep rust.

The 55 looks like it has melted glass on the front.
