How are you making out on the chop? Looking to chop my '53 and I am looking for back window ideas. Wanted to see how you were making out with the '48 Ford back window?

I used a 46 ford back window on my 53 Pontiac

It worked for my olds (similar to buicks).

I tried to keep the wrap around rear glass but it was not going to look right and be too much work.

    40's mercury rear window.

53ChopTop, that looks good. How much of the roof did you use? The roof sides seem to flow nicely and the bottom of the window seems to follow the curves of the rear deck.

    Thanks!

Don't really remember how much, but here are the build pics.

If you look at the "Finished Olds" album you'll see better shots of the rear without the chrome strip or glass, makes it alot easier to see.

I finished welding on the top on Wed and couldn't help thinking about paint shcemes...

I got a dark red almost kinda dark cherry and thinking of going with a gold metal flake roof or maybe something crazy on the roof flames, scallops, and scales....

Just wondering if anyone has pics or any ideas?
