Now you see, this is why the H.A.M.B. is so awesome. Information like this. I never would have thought of that.

Looks awesome! I too would like to know what you are going to do with the back glass? I will be chopping mine this spring and I have wanted to keep the back glass but havent seen one done successfully til now! Would you please share any more pics and information on what you did to keep the rear glass and have everything work out so well?

    Thanks!

be sure to update pics while glass is getting fit. looks good

  9. The chop looks great! Nice lines and flow. The first thing I think when I see a 53-54 Chevy chop is,what are your plans for the rear window? Cuase it's harder than hell to have a cut down rear window made. That's why most guys go with a Shoebox or older Chevy window. What are your plans?

The guy we have do our glass is pretty experienced in glass cutting so im leaving it up to him...LOL... Or he said just do the old moonglow method and use some very good GE brand lexan, kind of pricey but it will work. When i chopped my car my main goal was chopping it for me, so i will be happy with the way it looks. Not chopping it so i have to fit the shoebox or early 50 chevy rear glass, I think we (Hot Rodders) need to build our cars to the way we would be happy with it now and years down the line, and not say "I like my chop, i just wish the rear window looked different" ....i dont know, just my thought. But I will definitly keep you guys in the loop.

  11. I completely agree with you. Don't settle for anything. Do the homework and build it the way your vision was! Too many guys ask "what do you think I should do?" or "What color?",etc. I see too many guys who just want to chop their cars and don't have a plan for the glass. Happens alot with Mopars.

ya, todd had the black shoebox with the sea weed flames

  14. I'm the guy who bought it for my son! Loved that car. My son and I put a lot of miles on that thing! The guy who has it now is is asking $30k for it. Don't think he will get it in this economy right now. Do you ever hear from Todd? He never gets on the HAMB anymore.

Id take this roofs back window configuration w/ lexan over any chopped 53/54 with a laid down back window/ muddled belt line or with a poorly placed back window from a shoebox or what ever else. Cole Fosters secret recipe DOES rule, but hes Cole Foster.

A more difficult roof than many others. and you hit it just right. Lines look excellent. Congrats n a job well done.

  20. Your chop came out awesome, the lines flow just right! That's gotta be a good feeling getting it right on.
