Seeing all that shiney new steel on the floor reminds me of why I love this hobby so much. And thanks again to the great Gambino.

my car would appreciate the tail dragging look so please add me to the drawing too. I've had this car alittle over 5 years, got it when i was 16. now how many 16 year olds do you know that would be happy with a station wagon as their first car! its had a couple different looks in between other projects but I definatly wouldn't mind throwing one of the knotches under it! 57 Chevy Wagon

Well, I must have been suffering one of my "stupid spells", as my wife calls them when I don't do something that I, obviously, should have. Please enter my '48 Cadillac convert (as seen in my avatar) into this great drawing. Three years ago I took the Cad Seville rear end out of my Caddy with the hopes of replacing it with a completely rebuilt rear from a Chev truck. They both have nearly the same width and the bolt patterns are the same. I'd be going from a 2.20 (!!!) rear ratio to a 3.08 and thought everything would be good to go. Well, everything except the old stock rear springs which were really in bad shape. I had added air bags to assist the springs but that presented a further problem in that I could never lower the car enough as the chassis would sit on the rear end housing. Soooo, I was going to redo all this but the thought of pulling out all the finished interior and then cutting the floor up to get the drive shaft to clear as well as other problems, exhaust etc., pretty much stifled any progress.

But, I am ready now to do what I need to do in order to get this great car back on the road and a free kit from Alex would just be too perfect. Sure hope that my name comes up when the numbers are drawn. However, if it doesn't, a great big "THANKS" to you you Alex for making this great offer to the HAMB and its members.

<<<------------------ Bought the car in 1990 at 16 years old as a stocker. Been all over the state from 1990 till about 2007. Parked since 2007, to finish up a couple of other projects and stuff for other people. Getting ready to re-do/ rebuild the suspension and drive train. Please throw my name in the hat. Thanks Alex...
