    the '38/'39 buick in this movie is great. as a kid i remember [maybe BO JONES ] '38 coupe with stright 8 and S.U. carbs, big sleeper car. any one? or it's a great movie. [you'll shot you eye out] RD

    I'm telling you man, it's an Olds. They even put it in a museum or something. I'd put money on it because there is NO MISTAKING the grille on a 37 Olds.

    Only thing I can relate to this is that I did get a Red Ryder bb gun for Christmas. Fully equiped with shooting glasses and targets. It is amazing how accurate this thing is.

    My father at age nine was shot in the eye with a Red Ryder BB gun. Lost that eye some years later. True story!!! Still driving at 95!

    Also, the cops show up to save Flick from the flagpole driving a '48 Chevy, even though it's 1940.

    great movie... what about the roadster 30,31, they walk through... a few model a 4 doors and sedans in the movie... the romantic glow of sex.... leg lamp is the shit/////

    his name is bart ..when he is on the side walk looking it at the lamp the guy says hey bart what is that ?

    that damn olds would freeze up on the equater in the middle of summer ..
    and you will also notice the car has indiana plates and the movie is in cleavland ohio .
    ive seen this movie at least 300 times.

    The movie was set in Hammond, In. It was filmed in Ohio.

    Nice red Chrysler Airflow in the opening scenes.

    I watched it twice yesterday (white wine, red wine and beer at the office Christmas Eve party got me off to a slow start on Christmas :eek:)

    The old fire truck{#1} a 38 ford la france is still alive in Niagara Falls, at the chippewa volunteer station 4 . And in the scene of the flag pole rescue one of the fireman is wearing the helmet w the letters RFNBA . This stands for Regional Niagara Fire Buffs Association.

    The old house sits at 3159 w 11th, street in cleveland and can be viewed all year long .
