Okay, Mopar Guys... check out this totally badass scanned-in '60 Chrysler Corporation promo comic I posted here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=356561 ~Jason
two more here...a mopar guy and a mopar gal...lol. we have a 74 charger, 57 plymouth, and soon, a 57d-500 hopefully.
That'll be some ride! You might come back here when you're done and say, "Well, I'm a Mopar guy now!" Years ago when I was building bikes one of the local outlaw types had a '54 Ford truck I dropped a 413 and pushbotton trans in. He always liked my 440 GTX, said it "sounded like a whole herd of Harley's"
YES we have a '47 Windsor 7 passenger sedan getting a 440 installed right now. We are a small but fierce group that can't be counted on to do the rational thing.
My Old Pig(s)Ain't Runnin...but I'd rather push them than drive anything else. All Mopar all the time here.
Even though my avatar has ford I own two Dodges. Both Shop Trucks, getting ready to restore a 49 Dodge Route Van old Dairy Truck and 2003 Dodge 3500 Dually with Semi Truck wheels.
Just finished this 50 dodge bis.coupe 426 wedge 727 8.75 posi .Still breaking in the motor. Drives pretty good, A little tricky on windy roads. Gonna try it at the track next week.edit added some of my 65 dart
wow it just occurred to me how old this thread is... Add 68 Imperial Coupe and 42 Chrysler Windsor coupe to the list.
of course, first car was a mopar and my 66 charger is the only car i will never sell! Also am building a 27(premopar) chrysler roadster with a poly, 833 and 8 3/4!
.....I like that!!! Can't remember if I've responded to this thread...and I'm too lazy to work my way back through it, but I'm a mopar man. Had many a mopar over the years, currently cruisin in my 68 T/C wagon.... Working on getting a 48 Desoto 2dr sedan. It will eventually end up low to the ground with a 331 Hemi/A833 and 8 3/4.
i don't put a cap or ceiling on cool-i liked them all, my last few being a 31 ford coupe, a 57 chevy wagon, a 54 chevy, a 53 plymouth, etc etc. - with no real method to the madness. but, i will say without hesitation that my current fair weather daily is a 68 chrysler newport with new paint, bagged rear, black wheels and thin-whites, and it is one of my all time favorite cars that i've had..
