Well I guess I started another project. Bought a bullet nose a fer months ago. The plan was to sit on it till I finished up the 33, the boat, the Stude p/u, the Falcon, and the 3 restorations for other people that I'm working on. Well, we were running out of work at school, so I brought her down and turned some of the students loose on her.
One quarter straight. I have some very talented students this quarter. I'm turning them on to old cars! Somebody has to do it!
I like those cars. the car looks fairly nice sitting in the rough as bought in the photos. From what the rear 1/4 looks like...tell the students ' job well done'
Dont feel to bad about multi-tasking... Caffeine helps! I've got notepad after notepad of tech notes... trying to learn it all so I dont screw up anything expensive!

I do believe this is the first time I WISH I was in class. I've often said I've got more class than anyone you know. It might all be low class but I got more of it than anyone you know....lol
Why scrap the bumper? It looks pretty straight and might make someone a cool bumper for their P'up truck.
Went to a Tech School for autobody work in the 50's. The schooling lasted for a lifetime. Still able to hit my fingers with a hammer and grind on panels enough to get metal shavings in my eyes. Ha Ha. Really did and it has been a big help thru my life but Stude'ys like that were too new when I went. Had to hammer the very heavy Model A fenders.
those are fun cars, it's amazing how many people will tell you their dad or uncle or grandpa had one you almost always get a reaction out of people, most people have fond memories of them but a LOT of people think they were some of the ugliest cars made. they were way ahead of the mainstream, just a little too different for some I guess. I had one too, a long time ago, a '50 4 door Champion with a '51 clip as you can see poking it's nose out behind my old Ford (notice the visor) Paul
Looks like a pretty solid car to start with. I'm sure the students will take alot of pride in what they do. Should end up with a really nice car.
