That's pretty cool, nice work. What I get a kick out of is your facial expression after shutting it off with uncorked exhaust. Made me think of the 1st time I ever stood next to a hotrod with open exhaust, let alone my 1st motor thru open headers. Ear to ear grin I tell ya. These things keep us young at heart, gotta love it!
Congrats- something to be proud of for sure.

Sounds cool Jethro..... Know you are elated. Larry helped me on a TPI. He is very knowledgeable. Good luck and keep us posted on the build.

  11. Jetro, Maybe what I should have asked, in hindsight, is if you could give me all the part numbers and possibly the people that helped create that sweet sound. I plan to start my project next year but like to start collecting the pieces I need through the coming year .
Can the E.C.U. be programmed for different firing orders as my straight 8's is I think odd to most eight cylinder engines. All your help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks again, Rob.

    Rob,
The best guy to bounce tech EFI questions off of is GMC BUBBA here on the HAMB. He was key to making this thing happen. He'll have more answers than I will. Also , he put me in touch with a guy named Larry at larryselectricsite.com. I'll try and help wherever I can.......PM me with any questions....TTYL....Jeff

  13. Thanks Jethro, I will get ahold of GMC BUBBA in the next few days regarding my questions . I will get back to you after I have made contact with him
Nice to know that there are people out there who care about my slightly odd ideas. Take Care ,Rob

Hot damn how did I miss this one?!

Way to go buddy! Sounds great, really impressed with the quality of the build!

  18. ... COOL !

It would have been nice if you had stopped the camera while uncorking that first header though (1:30-1:22 on the timer), we didn't need to see that part ;).

    CONGRATS!
I have been following the Hillbillyborn (tm) Injection build for awhile, I am glad to see it running. The fact that you machined the throttle bodies yourself is awesome and the exhaust tips for velocity stacks is bitchin' too!

    Way To Go.

Everyone else has already said it but, that is one bitchin' A, man! I've always liked the straight sixes and yours is gonna be bad ass. Very nice work on the plumbing for the fuel lines. I will also be checking in with larry for some questions regarding the wiring and ECM so, you may want to let him know he owes you for sending him all this future business! Good luck with the rest of the build. I look forward to seeing future updates
