48 Anglia gasser. badass

My Buddy Just brought this home. Im about 99% sure I have him talked into selling it to me. My fingers are crossed! Anyway, Does anyone know anything about this car??? Im looking to find the history behind it. I would love to find some old pics! Any help would be great.

wow!!! you must have twisted his arm REALLY hard. I can't imagine finding something like this...buying it...getting it home, then selling it to a buddy. Must be a good friend.

judging by the clamshell behind the rear of the hood,its a 48 or 47 canadian,in 49 and later they had a crank out vent.I will sell mine someday.

 

MOre pics of the rear suspension setup, etc.

Awesome. I'm with Scrape. Leave the paint. but loose the stickers. I've seen that somewhere before, check out the Gasser Books.

This car had a fuel injected - aluminum head BOSS 429...It was BadAss!

I wish I could keep them all but looks like the badass may have to make room for this 48 that came from a hamber.(good straight deal)... Big block powerglide, Olds rear, Cool mofo! Little less radical than the badass. It up for grabs on ebay if anyone is lookin. My Friend and I have a hot rod shop here in Centralia IL. Pretty cool stash of rods if any one is interested. Buying selling trading old rods and drag stuff.
