    i don't like jackstands, i don't trust them and have never trusted them regardless of who makes them. i still use them though with:

    Spare tires laid flat are a must and not just one---several. i recommend at least 6.
     
  3. A 10X12 section of my friend's concrete patio collapsed because of a drain problem.

    Almost forgot another friend that was changing a motor mount on a BB Ford and somehow managed to get his hand smashed between the mount and the frame. He couldn't reach the floor jack and yelled for an hour before somebody heard him. His hand healed but it's not 100% right.

    worst car memery i got was when I had a car fall of stands while on concrete. I was changing gears and prying out the posi, i guess 2 much wiggling rocked it of the stands! I was under there for hours!!!! till some one found me! not to big of deal some cuts and bruises. man was i glad i got buddys that stop buy for free beer!! to get me the hell out of there now i make my wife come check on me every hour or so just in case. and use these when i can they will not break

    Great, OldSkewl61. OAK, not real costly & anybody with a couple of basic tools can/could make a bunch of these up! Me, I'd still throw inflated tires under the frame (or rims), close by me but still giving myself room to work. Thanks for another fresh (not expensive) approach to the problem, man!
