Help with a powerglide

    Hey, we have a 55 chevy with a 2 speed power glide. When it warms up transmission fluid comes out of the dipstick tube. Is there a vent or a screen that might be clogged?? If so where? Thank you for any advice

    Sure its not overfull? If it isn't, it could be sucking air into the suction pipe, aerating the oil.

    I do know it vents through the dipstick, It could be overfilled though :) Thanks for the advice

    We normally add a vent on the tailhousing during rebuilding. It has always been a problem on the cast glides. We drill the tailhousing on the topside & add a vent from a th350. Just good insurance. DAVE
