I looked through my Chevy books and it's not a Chevy. The top of the cowl where the windshield mates up is the wrong shape and the angle between the hood line and the windshield is too steep. It looks closest to a 1914-1915 Chevy so you're probably close on your age guess. Maybe a Dodge? Good Luck!
chevrolets of that vintage had a swooping line across the top of doorway. this one is square. so i put my vote on dodge.
The picture you've got sure looks like your body but that picture's not a 1916 Chevy according to anything I can find. Chevys have a bead just below the windshield that arcs left to right. That photo does not and your body does not. here's some Chevy photos that appear to be accurately identified. http://www.automotivehistoryonline.com/Chevrolet1.htm
Looks to me that it was a four-door that was chopped down to two. Have a look at the trailing edge of the body. It looks like the front of a door opening.
I don't know where you are in Canada but I saw that car as a hot rod from Canada at a car show in Michigan maybe 18 years ago. It's a Dodge.
Hey, OS; I'm thinking what you're looking at, is a Dodge, ~ '14->'17, front half of a touring. Found one like that for a friend, yours looks great in comparison. Firewall appears non-stock. Loks like a nice start. . cg, your Dodge is early 20's. Different cowl shape than the 1st series. OS, iffen you've any extra body parts for that thing, drop me a line. Marcus...
Thank you guys for your help pointing me in the wright direction for my reasurche Here are more pictures and yes it's half a touring body
