it drizzled, it poured, it rained, but we survived.

Met lots of cool folks. some nuts (but that's our people, right?) Nice to see old friends too! Had time to run around a few times to buy some goodies.

Cool meeting you in person John!

We had a fine time and made it home alive!

  5. Nice to see you guys get rained on once in a while;). It's a fact of life for the rest of us!:) Glad to see the hard core still drove out to the show.

I posted earlier on another thread saying--Oh! what tough winters--but I remember living there and the first year at x-mas walking on the beach in shorts and t shirt, thinking what are these people doing with coats on, several years later I had the coat on also. So I salute the brave ones that attended and even took those fab cars into the sucky weather!! The shot of the Acme booth with the steller coupe beside it is telling it all, check out the dude in the shadow plaid western jacket in the next booth, that is wool folks, again hats off to the dudes and dudettes who ventured out to support this great event. Humbled in Nebraska, ~Sololobo~

  9. That coupe looks broken

Ian I diden"t see the 51 chev, in pictures I shoud have told you I dont use card board in my cars only plywood for that very reason if thay get wet you take a wet & dry vac and suck out the water befor it can mildue and it wont hurt a thing o' i'm wrong the pannel in trunk behind air tank covering elec. wire, is card board but rain wont hurt a thing ,just dry it out. tom

The guys with this bike were just a few vendor spot from us. This bike was stunning. All day long there were girls posing on it but I wasn't fast enough to get over there for most of them.

Despite the rain I had a great time! Was GREAT to see everyone and catch up with a few people I hadn't seen in quite some time!

Took a bunch of pics but my camera spent a lot of time under my jacket...

well lets see ... the Highwaymen from Vancouver, BC flew down on Friday ~ arrived at LAX at 2:00 pm ~ drove through rush hour traffic for 2 1/2 hrs to go 38 miles to get to our hotel. Saturday, went to the show and endured what was probably a record rainfall for one day in LA ~ woke up Sunday morning to beautiful warm and sunny t shirt weather ~ wasted some time on Hollywood Blvd before our flight back ~ touched down in Seattle at 6:00 pm but not before a 2nd attempt at a landing and then drove the I-5 back to Vancouver in a snow storm!!!

We had a blast at the show, kudos to everyone who rolled in and stuck it out through the relentless rain. I'm thinkin roughly 400+ rides ... can't imagine what the car count would have been if the sun was out. A big thanks to Mooneyes for putting on an awesome show ... here's hoping that next year the "Sun Gods" will be with you.
