the CHEATERS, Mooneyes, Dave Mann weekend!

Me and a fellow club brother are headed out to both of these shows this weekend - any recomendations of things we need to see/do while out there? Peterson Auto Museum, Bob's Big boy, some shop tours, beers somewhere, cool shows, etc. We get in around 9am Friday morning and out Monday morning.

I saw Food Inc. -the documentary- last night, Made me not want to ever have a burger again!

Old Crow Speed Shop, Hollywood Hot Rods, and Dave Martinez are all on the same block of Palm St. in downtown Burbank. Go a mile or so west on Magnolia and check out Autobooks, best car book store in the world. Galpin Auto Sports is just off the 405 in Van Nuys, lots of cool Ed Roth stuff including the Orbitron.

NHRA Museum is better than the Peterson if you like "Race" type stuff. Also, Barris' is just a few blocks West of Bob's Toluca Lake on the same street (Riverside)

 

Has anyone here been to 'Pinks' for hot dogs in LA? An establishment since the late 30's. Huell Hauser did a piece on this place. He also did a piece once on the 'Munch Box' which is in Northridge (or close to it). Went there once for a burger and root beer float and they have nice jalopy related T shirts.

Thanks for the heads up. We'll see what intales - I wanted to do Old Crow, HHrods, etc on Friday. Any thing going on Saturday after mooneyes? You guys drink beer and talk smart out there?

Casey- I would recomend Hollywood Hot rods, The big foot lodge, the Peterson museum and Barris' shop

or maybe you can Kory can hold hands and stroll down the boardwalk at Venice Beach!

not sure what time you are getting in - but the Gasoline Gallery is literally 10 minutes from the airport

and Long Beach swap will NOT happen if you go to Ventura for the Dave Mann show

gimme a call and I should be able to get one of you in for free at the Dave Mann show - I have no helpers with me - so I am pretty sure I get 2 wristbands......
