He welds about like I do. The difference is-I don't claim to know how to weld. Those welds made the metal look like it had leprosy, swamp rot and dingleberries. I plan on buying a welder very soon and learning to weld with the help of a friend. That video will definitely be what I don't do. The sad thing is some people believe everything they see on youtube.

 

I'm pretty sure it was a joke. Read the title, How NOT to weld.

I have nothing good to say about any of that. His attempt of a weld looks like a bird shit on it.

Back in 1974 I was dating this girl that loved to watch me weld. , So I tought her how. Her first try was better than that.

That video reminds my dads DIY car fixing book.It was printed in late 60's or early 70's or something.There was good instructions how to fix your cars rockerpanels with chicken wire,fiberglass and bondo.
I dont remember that there was any welding chapter in that book(because they made everything with glass or bondo),but if there would be one,it could be something like that guys craftmanship..

I have to at least give the guy some credit. My flux-core welds weren't much better on my Sams welding machine, but at least I didn't make a video of it, and as soon as I could, I bought a proper Miller!

 

Well, that's a couple of minutes wasted I'll never get back.....
