Features 1940's period correct hot rods

    This is when it was unpainted with a 42 21A military bilge pump motor with Cyclone heads and a slingshot...now it has a Merc Motor, same heads with an evans intake and a culver city quick change, has 32 heavy axle and wishbone with original 32 k member he cut to fit the A frame.

    Great thread! and im happy to see that there were so many 30/31 ford roadsters built into hotrods back then. you mostly see pics of the 28/29's

    It seems like all the books say that 30-31s were for squares.. well I'm 6'1" I'll be called a square if it means leg room my favorite one was the dick voegtly car.

  12. Thanks for sharing all the cool pictures. The pix make me want to get busy in the garage, or to pack up all my junk and move someplace where you can build and drive old hot rods without worrying about 'stuff'.

    Yeah,...........I've never seen it overheat though. and it's pretty fast too.

    it most likely just runs slightly slower. unless he runs it off the generator before the voltage regulator, or at the voltage regulator at the "gen"? those could put out up to 12+ volts at high rpms.

    Chris, I don't actually have that many pictures of it in this semi complete stage... I got so busy near the end fighting with minor start up problems I just forgot to snap pics. And now darn the weather is gettin crappy so I haven't had a chance to take it somewhere nice for a proper photo shoot.
