carb ID please

    I came across a 3x2 for a MEL with most of the carbs. I think they are Aotolite 2100 series. Are they hard to come across if I wanted to make this work on my 462 MEL? I have a tendency to buy stuff that is extremely high on the neat factor but extremely hard to fix or repair. I vow I won't do it again but ...

    look like Stromberg WW carbs, used on Mopars, Buicks, and Studebakers in the mid 50s-early 60s.

    Stromberg WW's they are. There is a code number stamped (not raised) in the top casting that will positively identify original application, and necessary to acquire rebuilding kits.

    Thanks. There was a stamped number on the top next to the venturi.

    Did you buy that set up!!!??? I hope so. Looks like he wanted either $350 (cheap!) or $550 (just about right). Let us know. Not sure about the carbs but you can drill the base for 4 bolt carbs if its a 3 bolt and use anything. Good luck
