That just doesn't look right ....... we've had a cold snap here in the Atlanta area & I've actually had to wear a sweet shirt alone with my shop coat ....... Brrrrrrrr. I am still in cargo shorts though!!

I can only say have a good winter.

Just got our first snow this after noon on the way home from work 1 dodge 4x4 upside down in the ditch and 6 other cars also in ditches all the way home. We are expecting a Colorado clipper to come through Wednesday with a foot or more of the white shit.

You could always move to California. The economy sucks, there is no jobs and the state is broke, but the weather is nice.

The season for them is nearly as long, just shifted to the spring/summer months. Most places that get tornadoes also get snow for three months of the year.

Basically, tornadoes are kind of like a shitty version of the lottery.

The chances of one landing right on top of your place is pretty small, but when/if it finally happens, it usually fucks up everything. Buildings, cars, livestocks, equipment, you name it.

Nothing is tornado proof (at least not entirely).

Takes a lot of snow to destroy cattle and buildings, ya know? :D

  23. All in all, it's not too bad here in Maryland, but I still hate winter and cold weather. We get snowy shitty weather every winter, but every few years we get a good one. This has been one of those years.......

-39*C here when I got up yesterday morning, -34*C today. Balmy!

Yup, sometimes I wonder why I love it here so much. I have to go shovel out the gate here at work this morning cause the a-holes who plowed out parking lot piled all the snow against the fence and now the gate it frozen in place.

Oh well, in a few weeks when I'm back at the farm pulling calves i'm going to think about my trip to Hawaii and swear I'm staying down there the next time I visit. Nothing like pulling calves in -30*C+ temps, blowing snow, pissed off cows trying to kill you while giving birth in a f*cking snowbank, carrying said calf through the pastures in knee-high snow back to the barn to try an keep it alive...no wonder we eat them.

And whoever said bitching about the weather isn't traditional can kiss my ass haha. Canadians like 3 things Plaid, maple syrup and complaining about the weather. Too hot, too cold, too wet too dry.

That was a pretty impressive rant, Graham!! :D
-31C this morning here, but still not much snow. I wish we could get a heavy dump, I'm getting bored sitting at home with nothing to do. It's too damn cold to work in the garage. :(
