Great, someone else that got the bug. I bought a '66 Flxable Southern step van (chevy p30) in September. All aluminum, 250 inline 6. Plan to strip all the paint (9 layers) and polish the aluminum. Want to add a "snow plow bumper" to the front. Maybe a wing on the back top. Two big air horns on the top front. Tint the windows with mirror tint. Aluminum wheels or spun aluminum caps. I vaguely recall reading an article way back when Ed Roth was building Beatnik Bandit II. One of the pics was of the stepvan he was customizing to carry the car around in. If i recall correctly he took a 30" chop out of the windshield. Whatever mag it was in is long since gone, and I can't find any pics of the van online, sorry.

diggin the bread sled...looks like it doesn't loaf when it's in the fast lane...definitely looks like it will toast the tires...upper crust when it comes to stepvans
