Congratulations ! it always feels good to get them back on the road. The 1957 Ford Custom 300 is one of my all time favorite cars! It was our first brand new car when I was a kid, I have owned a few through the years,..... But this last one just fell out of the clear blue, I met a old man that wanted to sell his "56" Ford, went to go look and it was a 57 Custom 300,... He had the glass and trim in the barn,... don't know if I will ever build it, but for $500.00 I was a buyer. these pictures are from the day I went to look and bought it,..... Had a little surprise when I opened the hood,..... the floor has some rust, but the foliage that was growing in it was actually growing on some dirt on the floor.
Congratulations ... I love 57 Fords ... especially the 300 and custom 300 models. I want a 300 ... BAD ... Made a guy a offer on one recently. We are just to far apart $$$ to make it work. This is a photo of my DREAM 57 ... ( not the exact one I am trying to buy )

Always have liked the Custom 300. My Dad had a used '57 Fairlane 4 Dr., Powder Blue & White. It always ran hot...never could figure it out. The 300 is a shorter length than the Fairlane. Ironically, I've always thought a "hardtopped" 300 would be very cool. Don't think anybody's ever taken the B Pillar out of one of these when they've customized 'em. (Hey, it's on my "to do" list !)
