I've just read this thread from start to finish - what a way to spend a cold Friday morning here in England! Thanks.

I'm new to this game, but watching what you guys are doing fills me with enthusiasm and ideas for the future. Some day when I'm old and grey I want to be passing on my skills like you are.

Keep going and posting. Good luck.

    Mark.

Were on the last stretch to get the coupe ready for mooneyes. I've been working on the skirts, they were really uneven and had no upper brackets. my plan was to roll them at the bottom to follow the body line but were running out of time so i just made them fit instead.

made some inner braces for the top

then made a piece that would follow the shape of the opening and tacked it

    fiiled in the gap

Looks brilliant, was this part of the beating head against wall stress you were telling me about the other day?...BTW, glad to see that someone else is using the left over surgical towels as shop rags...I love those f'n things, grab a stack of them every chance I get.

I was going to say the same thing. The extensions would really follow through nicely. I don't want to be that dude that mentions a little bit of a lip grafted on but....:D:D:D

Looks killer either way....but perhaps more killer with the extensions???

    ZIP IT!!:D

There is some serious bondo on that 1/4 and that's my main concern!! I took it down around the lip so i could make it perfect around the skirt, now i gotta fix that shit!

    THAT'S WHY!!

Will this thing be at GNRS too?? I forked over the cake for flight and now it's written in stone. Get ready I'm coming!!! Even if it's parked in the parking lot I want to check it out.

  28. 21 pages and this thread gets better with every one. Not a big fan of the Chevy's but this is one sweet sled. Fantastic work.

Oooh, I hate when I find things like that. Nothing like surprises.

You going to paint before Mooneyes?

I may have had to "hide" a surprise or two temporarily for display purposes, but that was just primer, but you did not hear that from me.;)
