Event Coverage Rockin' Jalopy's Motorama Show, Europe - Pics

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Dutch Courage, Nov 23, 2009.

  1. Hats off to Henry van Uden who put up a fantastic little indoor traditional hot rod and custom show last weekend:
The first international Rockin' Jalopy's Motorama at the Autotron in Rosmalen, Holland.

No trophies, no inflated ego's, just a friendly get-together among like-minded souls.
The live music was great, the venue superb, the lights a bit too low for my camera...

Only dissonant was the Scrapers and Trashers wrecking one of the holiday homes where they were spending the night... Oh well; boys will be boys I guess...

The event coincided with a huge indoor vintage car swap meet and trade fair, also at the Autotron, so there was a huge crowd all weekend long.

    Cool! Thanks for sharing.
It's interesting to see that trad style hot rods are an international phenomenon. I'm wondering what % over there are native built vs imported from the States.

Great pics! I agree with BeatnikPirate. I like the 4 bangers alot. That early stuff is really neat. Makes me wanna go out and hug my flathead!

  7. Yeah Beatnik; It is very well possible you spot some US-built vehicles in the pics... :D

    But we're catching up!

    Hey Ger!
I thought:'Why not join myself to post some pics.' Too bad your pics weren't up to your usual standard. I guess I got real lucky this time...

You're right about Henry and his show. It was pretty amazing. Didn't know what to expect...

Being a participant in the artshow, I was able to take some shots without the weekend-crowd:
