Whats the reason for extending the front end?

Every builder has their own custom touch they add. Barris did chops and side pipes, he stretches the nose!:D

I like the grill, but the extended front end kinda makes me want to puke.

Why not cut the chassis to fit the body?

Well I guess I have to say I admire you dedication and work ethic. I just haven't quite digested the last build, but hell if everyone built the same ole shit it would get old real quick. Put your stamp on it man!

Is that strip added to the front set up to be a lap weld? I hope you are planning to do alot more work to those panels before you weld them together, especially that hood.

yea i know, the thing i learned from doing my 52 front end this way was that its alot better in the long run to build the front end all at the same time, instead of building each fender and then the hood. then trying to make everything line up, it didnt work out very well on the 52 and i ended up doing alot of extra shit to get the gaps even close.

so this front end it just mocked up right now, it will get blown apart, smoothed out and then cut the metal to fit the gaps and weld it solid.

I'm kinda liking this one, are you going to extend the rear fenders a bit to make things match? I'd just like to have the money you hand over to the welding supply co for gas and wire each month right now.

No offense, but I did'nt understand your last concept and it confuses me even more why you would do it twice. I guess I admire your tenacity though.
