We went an visited him yesterday...he is in good spirits, doc's dont know whats up yet. He will most likley be there for a while yet.

I hear that! Shit, I work at a hospital and it's no fun. He should get hooked up with some pretty groovy pain meds though, always look at the bright side. Get well soon!

UPDATE:

Dusty has now completed his First surgery. The doctors could only operate on half of his back because of how much infection is actually in his back. The doctors said there was ALOT more infection in his back that could be safely removed in just one operation. This means he will be going back into surgery in a week or so for the rest of the infection. This also means he will be in the hospital up to 4 weeks. He has changed rooms now. His new room number is 1607 on the 16th floor of the same building. With Sams help at Limelight we will be taking donations tomorrow in Dallas at his open house. Dustys insurance runs out December 31st. Please PM me if your interested in donations.

Dang, what a weird deal. The guy is allright one minute and the next you have to have 2 surgerys.

How do you get and infection like that in your back?
Do they know what caused it?

 

Infections could be caused by several things. Cellulitis, for example can be caused by a skin tear or even a simple scratch on the skin. Bacteria gets in the open wound and causes an infection, etc. Well, hope all is well!

They are taking him out of the recovery room sometime in the morning.

He stood up today, They have him on a constant IV for anti biotics.. There now say'n that his second surgury might
not have to happen. Awesome news.
