    Incredibly beautiful! No more convincing argument is necessary for restoration over "preserving the original as-found patina" of a historic car!

    Truck looks awesome... Do you have to own a denim, shirt or jacket to work at your shop? :}

    That gold is soooo purdy. I can't get over how good it looks- especially with the polished aluminum goodies on the flatty!

    In the pictures I posted on tuesday the cab had not yet been colorsanded or buffed.

    I spent the better part of the day going over the cab with 1000 grit dry, 2000 grit wet and then 3000 grit wet. Should do the final buffing tomorrow and possibly get the cab on the frame in the next few days.

    Thanks for all the kind words.

    We got the cab color sanded and buffed today. Everyone been working overtime and weekends to make it happen so quickly. Especially Micheal. He has been busting ass. He did an amazing job on the paint. It is absolutly flawless. It really is amazing. Pics in a few...

    For those of you wondering about the red/maroon fade on the firewall. In the earliest pictures of the truck in it’s finished gold form, Gene faded a candy red/maroon onto the accent lines and the edge of the firewall. We decided that in order for the restoration to be correct to the way he did the truck in gold the fade had to be there.

    Later, according to Gene, he also sprayed the red fade on the fenders. We did not go that far with it. It did not reflect the time period that the truck is being represented in.

    Here is an early pic of the truck with the red.

    Looks very tasty! The red fade's kinda cool in the way it picks up the color of the fuel lines. Seems like it'd be a bit much on the fenders. The pearl(?) on the dash and steering look great!
