I looked forever for that hexagonal wheel...some guy apparently bought it for his old lady and put it in her car (55 chev if i remember correctly). She drove it around the block once and was so angry she said she never wanted to see it again. Got it for 25 bucks damn near brand new cause he said she would kill him if he brought it home..haha

Looks like this is the latest steering wheel thread, so here at the two boat wheels I picked up recently. This one is the same as Hellfish's...except someone polished it and then clearcoated it (maybe powdercoated). It's cracked and flaking off...

Would look really cool in a custom if you whacked off that lower skinny part of the grip.

Here's another, I'm sure it's older than the above. I like it a lot...would look good in a hot rod....

Here's one I found on my boy's pre-school playground... The next day I got up nerve enough to ask If I could trade it out for a "newer, safer model". The "flamed" plywood box it had been attached to had broken and the lot had been thrown away. The truck had come and emptied the bins by six that morning. So close...

I like your interior, very cool!

  23. 40 buick wheel with the giant rim cut off. Bought a tubing hoop from a fellow HAMBer [can't remember who] and bent the long spokes up to meet the rim...welded it all up. The hokey horn button will be redone without the chevy emblem..might keep the spider.

1939 Chevy Accessory Spinner Steering Wheel . Lists as a 1940 accessory wheel . But I know the family that bought this car new ( I am the third owner) and this wheel was on the car when new, apparantly the car was on the lot late in the year and they put some stuff on it to sell it.
