    I just wanted to thank all the veterans for fighting for our country and our freedoms. I really do appreciate it. It is also a special day for me because it's my dads birthday and he is a veteran. Here is a picture I drew, kinda abstract of a scene from Pearl Harbor attack. The soldiers were trying to get the plane off the ground. Thanks again veterans!!! My hats off to you!:)

    We made a point of stopping off on our way through earlier this year.

    Reading some of the letters and words in the museum brought many tears to our eyes. We owe them all so much.

    To add one more wit of wisdom to ol'chevy's list is:
    Winning a war is not dying for your country, it's making the other sonofabitch die for his.

    A Soldier's Prayer... The soldier stood and faced his God Which must always come to pass...
    He hoped his shoes were shining Just as brightly as his brass.
    "Step forward now, you soldier, How shall I deal with you?
    Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?"
    The soldier squared his shoulders and Said,"No, Lord, I guess I ain't...
    Because those of us who carry guns Can't always be a saint.
    I've had to work most Sundays And at times my talk was tough,
    And sometimes I've been violent, Because the streets are awfully tough.
    But, I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep...
    Though I worked a lot of overtime When the bills got just too steep,
    And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear,
    And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears.
    I know I don't deserve a place Among the people here...
    They never wanted me around Except to calm their fears.
    If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand,
    I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand."
    There was a silence all around the throne Where the saints had often trod...
    As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God,
    "Step forward now you soldier,
    Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
    You've done your time in Hell."
    Dedicated To All That Serve... God Bless America!

    thank you my fellow veterans.....this ones for you

    SOLDIER

    I was that which others did not want
    to be.
    I went where others feared to go, and
    did what others failed to do.
    I asked nothing from those who
    gave nothing, and reluctauntly accepted
    the thought of eternal loneliness....
    should i fail.
    I have seen the face of terror;
    felt the stinging cold of fera;
    and enjoyed the sweet taste of a
    moments love.
    I have cried, pained, and hoped....
    but most of all,
    I have lived times others would
    say were best forgotten.
    At least someday I will be able to
    say that I was proud of what I
    was..... a Soldier....

    Ol'chevy,you might like this;
    An Army Private and R.A.F. Airman were standing next to each other ,at the urinals.
    Airman finishes peeing and goes to leave the lavatory.
    Private- "In the Army,we're taught to wash our hands after using the lavatory!"
    Airman- "Sorry old chap but,in the Airforce we're taught not to piss on our fingers!"
