Ok, I am looking for a color to go on my truck. A 50's look is what I'm going for.Not apposed to a 2 tone. Maybe post a picture of a car in that color, or photo shop something.I have an idea what I might want, but want some opinions, other than whats in my head.

Heres a picture. It's got a black interior. Well, a black seat, the rest is unfinished as of right now.White 32 dash.

depends on how flashy you want to be. Assuming the interior is black I would go with a black body/bed, then do the roof, down to the belt line a nice pearl white. Or if you want to go fancy toss a metal flake gold in place of the white and throw a bit on the wheels while you are at it...a few highlights on the interior in gold and you would be ready to go!

Maybe a early Ford DARK RED with White walled Bias Plys? I would stick to standard early ford color definitely though.

pink with purple polkadots. are you seriously asking us what color you should paint your car? Most of us can't decide what color to paint our own...

Like this but as I stated, new wheels and tires would help out a lot!!!

Paint is 90 bucks a gallon. Color is free. While sitting at a stop light in traffic, look around to see what color trips your trigger. If you want to be really confused, go to the paint store and ask the guy behind the counter. He will put a 32 pound book in your lap, and then your mind will turn to mush.

Some good ideas there, for changing the wheel and tire combo I would rather not, they are powder coated and they are brand new wheels and tires. Black is to common I think and to hard to keep clean. And for flipping through a paint book, been there done that, just got more confused.

  24. Red or orange are viable options.

Perhaps salmon or cambles soupe. Those are both '50s colors.

Or maybe a candy? laquer is a must BTW.

I think that if you are looking for a 50's color then you should be looking at pastels. Along those lines I think the body style of your truck lends itself to a sky blue or turquoise color. Here is a pic of the blue color I had in mind. Sorry i can't photoshop but maybe someone here can take this color and "paint your truck" for you.[IMG]
