Great thread. Can someone please lower my Fairlane, put some other wheels and tires (Astro Supremes, Moon Discs, AR TorqTrustII or others) on it. And if you had some other ideas (Bellflower Exaust for example) to make a cool 60ies Style Kustom / Surf Wagon out of my Fairlane - DO IT!!!!

With this car I've been thinking a set of astros, maybe bellflower tips, and a metalflake paint job, like a burnt orange, or brownish type of color. Maybe even some scallops for kicks. The car may be too new for any of that, however, you guys can work the magic with photoshop and can bring my ideas to life before I take the plunge. Have fun with it, use your imagination, and Thank You in advance.

The GAZ 12 (ZIM) grille was very similar to Cadillac and the hood looked like a Buick hood. Yes, the Russian designers picked up a lot of ideas from USA... Maybe they did read Motor Trend and saw some photos of Barris Kustoms using that combination?
This a Photoshop job I did today, showing how a kustom version can look like.
Compare with the photo of the original car, this wont be impossible... Lets call it a Boris Kustom!

Oh. Well there are newer and older versions. I just use the one thats in use where I work, which is CS3. If you can pick up an older version, it will still do everything you need for this kind of work. I see CS2 is on Amazon pretty cheap. You certainly wouldn´t need anything better than that.
