Found this 28 Tudor 10 miles from me in a old farmers barn. The body had been blasted and primed in the 80s, 95% there. You guys think $1500 was too much for a running and stopping A?
The banger was recently rebuilt and runs so nice. Not sure exactly sure what to do with it. Maybe some updated brakes, paint, finish the top, find some seats and drive it.. Now If only it was that easy eh?
Check out Chris' thread on his A coupe build. Your sedan would be a perfect candidate for this type of build. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324386&highlight=model+coupe
I think you got robbed!! I mean, Robbed like a fox!! No.... wait.... that's you robbed HIM like a fox!! Umm....no....wait..... The fox robbed you and gave the money to him. No...umm.... Cool, man. Pull the fenders, drop the front, keep the little motor and that's one cool rod. Pete
This is the way to find them cheap and close to home. Looks real nice. Keep us posted on the progress.
Can you say SCORE!!!!!? Pop the fenders on, leave the hood off, lower the front, slap on from 16" wires with 6.00 up front and a 6.50-7.00 in the back and go driving! Keep us posted with your progress.
Very sweet deal and congrats on your new project! Have a blast building that thing, looks like fun start already cheers, cab
Rightous find man, Congrats..you'll be tool'in that puppy down the road in no time. and with a wife and lil one, bet it fit the budget too. good luck, have some fun. cheers
Thanks guys...It is a lot of fun to drive but the wood bench that I sit on has to go. Where is the best and cheapest place to get some Glass? I checked the local Glass shop and was quoted close to $500... What can I rob the brakes from to update the braking system? (I read somewhere F100?)
Not sure about pricing but most Parts Dealers have the glass below is a link. Only thing I have from them so far is a catalog. I am stil in the catalog/parts sourcing stage http://www.vintageford.com/sect_search.cfm?Line=Model A&Category=Glass As far as the brakes lots of good info in the tech section to get started. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124112&highlight=model+brakes
