S*&T, I can't even narrow it down to five per DECADE!
I think the most beautiful cars ever produced in the U.S. were mostly from the 1930s, but I don't know them enough to name them off the top of my head.
    For 1950s ONLY:
    1. '55 Chevy hardtop or convertible
    2. '56/57 Lincoln Mark II
    3. '55 Dodge hardtop or convertible
    4. '53 Buick Skylark
    5. '57 Cadillac

I own a '53 Chevy and I wouldn't even put them in the top TEN in stock form!

IMO, they were all revolutionary designs up until the mid 70's or so.
But some that stand out a little bit? tough question.
shoebox Fords (no muss, no fuss, just an all around good buy)
Duece Roadsters ("Welcome to the new era in cars you ol' Model A drivers")
early Corvettes and Tbirds (fast two seaters)
    1948-50 F series (I'm biased here, lol)
1955 Chevy, either pickup or car (they just look good)
OT-wise, the 73-79 F series truck will always be at the top for me.
This is at 9:08 am, 5-9-09. It'll change in a minute.

Lessee: without looking at my previous opinions, my list today is:

    1934 Ford 3-window coupe
    1940 Ford DeLuxe coupe
    1953 Studebaker Starlite coupe
    1955 Chrysler 300
    1961 Pontiac Ventura bubbletop

...but I'm sure it'll change in another 20 minutes or so.

edit: OK, I looked at my previous post (2/16/07), and all 5 of these were on my expanded list. Guess I'm at least semi-consistent.

  23. My list is very personal because I have owned al of these vehicles and really loved them.
    1) 55 Chev Cameo 1/2 ton ( gee I wonder why?)
    2) 64 Corvette coupe ( my wife still hasn't forgiven me for selling this in 1970 )
    3) 39 Ford coupe ( My first car )
    4) 67 Olds Toronado ( luxury, and went like skinned snot )
    5) 56 Stude Presidente coupe ( never owned one, but loved the look of the car )
    6) 62 Chev 409 bubble top

EVERY CAR manufactured in 1932 (America didn't make ugly cars in 1932)

    1953 Corvette
    1937 Studebaker Dictator Coupe
