REAL TRADITIONAL CUSTOM AIR CONDITIONING from '54.

If it is an air conditioning system in your traditional custom, that has ONLY original parts from the 50's, no reproduction even or modern components like compressors, condensors, controls, electric fans, etc.. wouldn't that be traditional a/c?

I got a 54 Ford recently that has a 6 VOLT Novi Auto Air Conditioner on it.
Super cool with the clear tubes coming into the driver compartment.

Did a little research and found out about Novi and the Novi Auto Air Conditioning Indy Car, Kurtis Kraft, Miller Paxton, and other connections.

It seems Novi started Novi Equipment Company and made some neat products.

Post up info and products here.
I would love to learn more about this now defunct company, products, and related history.

Here is the link to my car, http://www.sakowskimotors.com/detail.asp?carid=452 at the shop to see the traditional air conditioner that could have been in a custom in the 50's. **This is not spam to sell the car, but pics. Please do not post questions buying/selling the car here. Thanks.

Still standing in Novi, Michigan is a water tower (next to an old factory) that has the faded image of a Novi Indy car painted on it.

I know I took a pict of it, but I can't find it.

The town of Novi was named for it being the sixth railroad stop west of Detroit, it was marked on maps simply as No. VI

    Kinda cool useless trivia.

  6. I own a '55 Imperial Newport coupe with Novi aftermarket AC. '55 was the last year of 6 volt electronics at Chrysler Corp. Yes, ducts up out of the package shelf but don't have a good pic of them. Tag.jpg Trunk AC Novi.jpg
