Just finished my new site. Looking for comments / criticism. First time putting a site together. http://www.wreckedmetals.net
Nice site. Very user friendly - my usual complaint with many sites. Simple transitions from one view to the next and back again, no fuss. Nice photos, nice welding - oh what the heck, just plain nice. Ya' done good.
Very cool, I like the fact that you have chosen black and white (so far) but I would like to see color on some shots. Very clean site. Good luck. Oh ya like yer guns to? Slim
I agree with what the others have said so far. The only thing I wanted to add is what is the main purpose of the website? Is it a gallery or a page for a company? As a gallery I think it's great. As a company page I think it's great but you need a contact page. Just my $0.02
It looks good, but what do you do, are you a hot rod and kustom builder or a photographer! When I visit the site it's hard to figure out what you wants to promote with it. But, it sure looks good! That's my 5 cents...
I liked it but not going back,,. That shotgun thing scares me,,you're a loose cannon dude!!! LOL. Nice site! Does need some color here and there but it is easy to navigate. What does a set of pages like that cost?
haha milhouse, I think we wrote that almost at the same time, and it sure looks like think alike.... oh, except that my thoughts are worth 3 cents more than yours
like your the album on the site cool photos just maybe ? Idaho not just Famous for potatoes anymore>http://www.wreckedmetals.net
Good Info! I will add a contact page and a description of my services. It is a site for my hot rod shop. Thanks
Damn FINE job on the Web-site my friend Damn FINE!Some great lookin' sickles on there too.I like the lay out, nice simple for us older buggers to us! Nick.
Apart from not knowing what the site is for, it looks really good, love the black and white and it easy to use, it left me wanting to see more! Love the SS pipes on the bike.
I put a small description of what I do and how to contact me. Knowing what the site is for is pretty important stuff. Any more input is appreciated.
valid xhtml strict. Nice. simple layout, but i would say you have a case of divitis. you could, for example, lose all the divs in the navigation and just display the li's horizontally. But it looks like you used a builder so may not be able to change that. It just adds unnecessary markup to your code. Very clean!
Looks great & seems to function page to page well. Suggestions: -Change the header font, you should stick with the same style but I think you will be able to find something that just has a little something more unique. It could be something very slight. -Get rid of the "[email protected]" email address. Its just something that always seems amateur or not as legit. You probably have a free email address with your domain hosting company. You can also just forward those emails back to your yahoo address if you wanted to keep using it. -After hitting the categories example Rod and Customs, maybe that goes straight into the gallery. Since we already selected it, just show it. -During the gallery is it possible to have a short note under each pic. For example, "We did the chop, bodywork, and paint" or "We did everything on this ride" Point out what we should be noticing you did. Push your services, as obvious as it seems to you (because this is very personal its what you do) it may not be so obvious to a potential customer. -Sell some shop shirts, start with some basic merchandise. These are just observations and suggestions, you asked right? Great job. username
Nice Job Matt your site looks good .Nice to see you on here hope it drums up business for you. Attn HAMBERS This Guy Does Nice Work . I've seen it!
USERNAME That is exactly what I need to here. I will add some text to the site. Also a page for selling merchandice. I need to check on the e-mail as far as yahoo.
Depending on where the site is hosted, you might be able to get an address like: [email protected] Godaddy has that free option, I assume others do as well. Definitely looks more professional. The text "Wrecked Metals is a traditional hotrod and chopper shop. Contact Matt Whitlock 208-602-3899 wreckedmetals @ yahoo.com" falls off the bottom on my monitor, easy to miss.
Site looks good..blog's even better, keep up the awesome craftsmanship. Shirts still available..2x please
Looks killer... what people don't realize is that you have pretty much built everyone of those outta starting with nothing... you can do it all TOP SHELF stuff...
