So this is my first complete build a 1941 Ford 2 door Sedan. I got this heap a little over year ago and started the build. It came from a guy (local to me) and apperantly had been sittin for 20 some odd years. I got the car up and running again with a flathead 8 BA. Still a early ford trans 3on the tree and banjo rear end. All the suspension and steering has been gone through. Car was mostly complete and pretty solid but still have tons of metal/body work. So now its time to start thinking about paint... Idea's Anybody Then Interior....
Learned so much in the process of this build from some long time hot rod friends of mine The Cheaters. Which i have recently become a member of.
    Thanks again playboys, means alot.

Here is a couple pics to show the progress.

Man, Your '41 is looking Great ! I have a couple myself. The driver is a '41 Deluxe Tudor, a Deluxe chopped business coupe (my avatar) and the future project a Fordor with Y-Block adapted to Merc 3 speed. Will keep an eye on your build.

Nice work, I love 41's here is a pic of mine, built by Chris on here. gonna do some major changes in the months to come, gonna go more twards a 60's style hot rod. I plan on doing the roof in a green w/ heavy flake ( From the cowl all the way back) flake green flames to match the hood, then the rest suede black.

Looking good. I'd like to ask a few questions for my own build. What did you do about the 40/41 swaybar that is in the way of everything when you lowered it? Are those tube shocks? Can't quite see in the pic. Did you fabricate shock towers? Also, tires look pretty tight clearance with the fenders. What size www did you use? Butch

Congrats on becoming a Cheater, but watch your bunghole man, I've heard stories about those guys...

nice '41! You've got a ways to go but it looks like you've done a good job so far- and in short time! Go for a paintjob that looks good and is cheap to start off with- I gaurantee you'll change your mind in a couple years..

Straight Pipes, Got rid of the sway bar.. still drive like a million bucks. Fabricated the shock towers and just got the cheepo short shocks from speedway. Tires are 6.50 all the way around and yea there tight...too tight.

Pinstriper 40, Don't worry i got a close eye on it :) Your right, the first time cheap is probably the way to go.

I like the thought of a stock ford color- Washington blue, Dove grey, or the stock Maroon color from '40... I think an understated look for your car would be way cooler than an over-the-top paint job. If you feel like adding scallops or somthing later you can, and it'll still look sweet. You gotta get pics up with the skirts on when you get 'em!
