I know what ya mean theres a dumbass here in town has a beautifull 58 pontiac that has sat in his back yard for 5 years just sinking into the earth.

$8,000.00
55chevy custom was in the october 1963 carcraft magazine. I have the magazine!the car needs to be restored. the car has no engine and trans, has most of chome and parts to restore.the cars name was krimson kart, the builder of the car was emory ashpaugh. Paging Mr. Moriarity!!!! I just looked, and it wasn't FEATURED, but there was a pic of it in some show coverage
that thing looks cool, wonder how long it has been sitting out neglected with the windows down? I am honestly so full up over here I couldnt take 1 more car if it was free.
I love Tri-Five customs, and this one is tastefully done. Considering what these cars go for this seems like a pretty good deal, wish I had the coin.
I KNEW I had seen that car before! I don't remember where I saw it, but the car is in Moody, AL, which is only about 15 miles away from me.
From OKC Talk, thread titled Southside OKC Memories....anyone?: "Does anyone remember Emory Ashpaugh? Built the most exotic 55 chevy in OKC...went to Grant and was envied by everyone {even teachers}. He and a bunch of guys his junior year and too much beer and too much nerve he dove off the falls at Turner Falls. pushed his neck in and almost killed himself:...confined to a wheelchair until he just recently passed away." He passed away in March 2004, according to the SS Death Index. (Born in 1942.)
Nice car, looks very savable from the pic. Crappy ending for the owner. I agree tastefull 55 Custom, hard to pull off.
