The reason I joined the Hamb was because of the build thread by Mr. Bass. I could not get over the quality of the craftsmanship he put into his work. Its great to watch someone that is that good and cares about what he does like Mr. Bass. I hope he keeps up the good work and keeps posting, I'm waiting to see more.

Brian Bass inspires the Fuck out of me....... so much class. Completely PURE.

I am so jealous of his one man band........ I need to find a little room.

You cannot walk into the Bass shop and not come out inspired! I hear the debut of Bubbas coupe will be at Pistons & Paint this year. I saw the work Bass did on the frame a few months ago and its almost a shame to cover it up with the coupe body!

Bass is a super talented builder, its nice when people this gifted is also down to earth, unlike many others that think they stand feets from the ground.......
I'd love to visit his shop during workin hours...its just a little too far! 8)

What happened to the 49 fleet w/ merc front sheet metal, i think the owners name was Dudley Owens? am i right?
Its a killer car but cant seem to find anything newer than early '09....and i would love to see it finished, or at least knowing is either in good hands or still in the shop.
    THanx for sharing your trip.
    Nick.

Haha, man that is funny you mention that. I've been in there exactly once and the guy started going off on Bass and his family. He has some issues for sure.

Bass is a really low-key guy in person. No entourage, no facades. Just a nice guy that does incredible work. Definitely an inspiration.

  17. Nice work Brian, good to see you getting some nice compliments, mine included!

Brian is also a good artist and striper, my old 37 Chevy truck had some Brian Bass pinstriping, of course it looked great.

Keep up the good work. Terry

Brian is very inspiring. he's a very very talented guy.

  25. Bass' metal work could be featured weekly on the Friday Art Show it is
so beautiful. That Fleetline with the Merc front grafted in still leaves me
dumbfounded. I don't get to scroll the H.A.M.B. as much as I used to so I
wonder, often, how that project is/has come along.

Hat of to ya Brian, from one who tried the beard comb over (it didn't work) to
another, yur work is top shelf!

Bass is truly a great guy. An artful eye for automotive styling and a master at his trade. I'm proud to say I know him and always enjoy seeing what new project he's putting his 200% into. Like you once said Brian, this is what you were born to do.
