Kinda depends - blackwall or white? Sometimes cream wheels and whitewalls clash just enough that it looks like you screwed up in your color choice. I think blackwalls afford more options that work with them - they seem to act more like a frame for the wheel. I also like to take a highlight color that may be elsewhere on the car - the top suggestion is a good one. What about your interior - are there any detail colors inside that may make a nice highlight outside to visually tie in/out together? Even something as obscure as the color of the instrument numbers or needles or the factory coloring inside emblems can be a great way to very subtly keep to a color scheme or theme. Of course, there's always chrome plating. I also really like the faded look - but then you have to find not 1 but 2 colors! Steve
56 Chevys had a color called Pinecrest Green (kinda Seafoam color I guess) that they used to two tone with the darker Sherwood Green...looks good together...or a Cream/off-white color...my 2 cents
It took me a while but I found the color in mind. Cerulean Blue. You can go to any art supply place and find a tube of it in the Oil Colour section. I don't think your local paint supply would have a chip on hand of this color.
CREAM, ALMOND, TAN, GREY, GRAPHITE, CHARCOAL, depending whether you want to go to a lighter color or a darker color.
Magic Bishop Don Juan said it best... "Green for the money and gold for the honey." The right shade of gold or bronze would set that car off. ***EDITED TO ADD*** The dash looks great in your album.
Barf: [Spaceball 1 roars by them, in a plaid colouration of speed] Aah! Barf: What the hell was that? Lonestar: Spaceball 1. Barf: They've gone to plaid!
