Cliford Performance. Here's a pic of one of their Ford motors.

Try these guys... I've got a 215 Ford with a factory 4 speed still connected to it. Those 215's are actually kind of rare. They were the first OHV inline six Ford had and started in 1952 and ended in 1953 when they turned it into the 223. The 223 lasted until 1963 when in 1964 they came out with the legendary 300 and 240.

The way you can tell if you've got a 215 vs. a 223, is the distributor is located in the middle of the block on a 215, between the 3rd and 4th cylinders, and the 223 it's located between the 2nd and 3rd I believe. It's definately more towards the front.

Try these links for more detailed information, history and parts for your engine.

I plan to hopup mine with triple Holley 1904 glass bowl carbs, reground 3/4 cam, head work and a nicely balanced bottom end with long tube headers. It won't be a ground pounder but it'll be fun.

You can also look on ebay for 215/223 hotrod parts, but it's kind of a crap shoot on how the pricing is. Sometimes performance parts go for real cheap because people aren't that into these engines as compared to the more modern Ford and Chevy sixes.... sometimes the price goes through the roof for the same reason. Just gotta roll the dice.

    Good luck,

Very cool flat 6 ya got there. I'm assuming it's the 226? Now that's an engine you don't see souped up very often. I don't think anyone is repopping any hop up parts for that thing like they do for the 215/223 either. The flathead V8 obviously got all the attention in trucks and cars back then...

  10. I see the manifolds from time to time, usually 2 singles. Headers wouldn't be too tough to fab up. You might try Clay Smith Cams about a new camshaft. Call them and speak to George. Other than that, it's going to be tough. Not too much available other than some dress up parts. Good luck.
