Just bought these from neighbor, about 65 year old guy. Says he got these in about 1957. I Paid $22 for um. I've never seen them before, how about you?????.........OLDBEET
The only ones like that I have ever seen were on Von Franco's deuce about 5 / 6 years ago at paso . Those are pretty neat . I would say you did pretty well for yourself !
Those are wild Beet! I haven't seen a set like that before. And $22? The penny pinchin' bastard that lives inside me is jealous.
christ i almost had a heart attack , i didnt remember selling em i had to run in the other room, i got mine in 58 from warshowsky's the guy before j.c .gypme company. i had a couple guys prying em off once yrs ago, and they seemed shocked when i kicked thier assess, anyhow they are my favorite cap
yeah i been going through my papers and looking for the covers,i know i paid like 17.95 for em,i have been offered tons for mine ,but no way i do have other items i am posting in the classifieds see if someone needs em more than me
They are 14 inch, but I guess a beauty ring could make um 15inch with a little work................OLDBEET
better score than mine ! All i got at garage sales today was a holley 94 for 1.00 . NICE SCORE !gotta love the garage sale
Im curiose "old beet", are those dice chopped in half then recessed into the cap? I can't really tell from the pics. I dosnt really seem to me that that'd be to difficult to mimick. Anyway, vary nice score.
no the dice are stamped in the metal called, coining http://www.efunda.com/processes/metal_processing/coining.cfm and to do that takes some mighty fine tool and die people
If I'm not mistaken they were a JC Whitnney item..I think there is a set in my 57 catalog..I have to go through my storage and look..Those are rare as hell though..great score!!
Those are WAY cool! If you ever give any thought to selling, would you please let me know? I think they would look GREAT on Big Olds. Something different.
They are COOL, Beet showed Me yesterday. Did anyone notice The dice only show 7 and 11 ---VERY COOL--- FEDER
wellon my chevy wheels the valve stem come straight out towards the lugnuts so no clearance problem but to check the air you ended up prying em off
[ QUOTE ] "High Rollers" cleaned up pretty good............OLDBEET [/ QUOTE ] dang those look right at home on your merc.
Those are the coolest, what a score. I got lucky on Saturday, I got an old Teisco (?) Japanese electric guitar for $5. Sometimes you can find deals, but not often enough.
