---------------------------------------- Here's another 4dr Ford with Plymouth grille. Enjoy------TwoChops
On Page 26 00MACK posted this photo of the Dee Wescott 1949 Mercury... There where some questions about this car.. and more photos where requested.. but nothing else showed up. Today I was searching for something... totally not car related. and found the photos below...... The car is still alive!!! Hugo90 Photos Near identical grille as Barris built for Dan Landon
Great Pictures! do you have any shots of Dean Jeffries Porsche coupe? It looks like you may have the tail of it showing in the first picture of post #13.
Wow Rik ! You da man ! or should i say you're still da man, or you're always da man ! can't belive that baby is still alive ! That turquoise paint (primer ) looks like shit ! can't wait to see it with a real color !
It's funny how people today will swear that 4 doors were never customized back in the 60, I have a 50 Plymouth sedan that was built back then, custom grille and new yorker rear fender with a continental kit,it has the chyrsler 6 in it, neat car, would make a neat project some day,I might jusy hang onto it for one of my girls. I love these old pictures, so many great ideas, some really off the wall stuff but still great history, thanks so much for taking the time to share all of these.
Here is a couple more of that chevy. Seems like the owner was a member of the Sinners Car Club... Do anyone know on what occasion these pictures were taken?
Sorry if this has already been posted, but kool is kool. I found that Rikster posted this on another topic....I thought that it needed to be over here with the Kustoms. Kan't wait to see this one finished. I'm gonna have to make a trip to Sweden some day.. Happy Trails, Mick
The Buster Litton clone looks to be right on the money. It was one of the nicest "shoebox" customs back in the day. I love seeing what the folks in the Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries are doing with customs. They don't have to take a back seat to us in the homeland of customs. Keep it up guys and keep the photos coming.
OK, I'm trying to jump start this thread again by posting a couple of new photos, anyone familiar with this shoebox:
hey superfleye, great pics. anybody know what kind of sidetrim that is? is it stock off something or pieced together? thanks, mike
It seems like you have right about that: Can anyone here identify if it is a '50 or '51 ford? It seems to have '50 ford parking lights, and the upper grille bar from a '51 ford...
Looks like a '50 judging by the dash. (From what I can see of it.) Cool car, I'm thinking I've seen it in an early magazine that was showcasing side trim on '49/'51 Fords.
Yes I think you are right about that magazine, I actually think I have it too, will check tomorrow... now it's bed time!
Good looking, well detailed shoebox. The trunk hinges are hidden, suggesting it might be a '51, but the other details are '50 (parking lights, dash, steering wheel).
Thats no ford parking light and upper grill bar it a complette Dodge Coronet 54 grille And heres are my version
Hehe, I was referring to the sidetrim on that car I saw your Ford at Hot Rod Reunion btw, it's a cool ride!!
