  6. Iirc remember it, "Bourkes Law" was in gold leaf on the front fenders. Would be neat if somebody knew something about it.

I haven't seen this mentioned yet, so I'll stick my neck out here and tell y'all that the lady in the picture with Gas Ronda is Cindy Gibbs Arias, oldest daughter of Steve "Big Hook" and Gloria Gibbs. Cindy moved to Spokane earlier this year to work at Spokane Raceway.

A cou;le of corrections to the list. John Frith was from La, Div. 4. His driver was Danny Chapman. Ted Harbit had a '51 Stude, not '52. Great list!!

    Mr. Shirley,
I haven't forgotten you. I'm still going through CDs trying to find your pics. I got screwed when Epson did away with their photo album service and I lost access to a lot of my pictures.

  11. Anyone here heard of the 1957 Chevy 4dr 150 sedan "Candy Stripper"? Ran K/Stock I believe in the early '70s by Tucker Reynolds out of Essex CT. He brings it around to car shows still. Great guy and the car is totally untouched. Will try to find a pic. Ran at Connecticut Dragway, Lebanon Valley, New England, Englishtown etc..

Saw the "Candy Stripper" many times between Connecticut Dragway and Lebanon Valley. One of my favorites hope you can find a photo or two.

  13. "Sunday Niagra" gets my vote for best HAMB name. I'm inspired to use "Saturday Viagra" as mine on the Old Farts Social group. Check it out. You may want to start a Jr. Stock group.

The Niagra was common misspelling. If you lived there you learned how to spell it because you wrote if so often, Niagara!

You wouldn't want to live there now, at least near the Lewiston Rd end. I grew up on Elmwood Ave, near Whirlpool St and have no desire to live there.

I've posted this image that I took @ the Englishtown, Spring 71 WCS meet before, but its always worth another peek.

Lots of killer stockers in this shot. How many can you ID? TMcCrea has already nailed about four of them!

Now, it's no fair lookin at old posts ;)!

Steve - I think it was John Mason that ID'd the cars. I do see Dom's, Troxel, Meyersohn, Bennett, maybe Siriani. One driver I do not think we have mentioned is Ralph Fisher. Might that be his Camaro in front of the Olds?

Also, the blue Chevy off the Olds hood could be George Nye's "Blueprint".

The open Olds hood is the 1970 Berejik car of Woodland and Andresen.
