I am curently building a 31 A coupe, It has a 283 chev in it right now but i am consedering putting in a 454 instead. The car is on deuce rails. i still want to keep the car looking traditional. I am looking for some inspirational pics of coupes with big blocks in them. Or any specific info that is needed to install a 454 in a model a on deuce rails? Thanks

Check out ElSwedes 31 tudor with Chev BB, it used to have a ed pink magnesium blower on it ( when i owned it ) Has a modified A frame (lengthened 6" in front of firewall) with 32 framesides welded on it , halibrand rear and 4" drop in front.

283 is a much cooler engine, stick with that.

  9. Non-W motor BBC's only came out in 1965 so you cannot make your coupe look any earlier built than 1965 to keep it traditional. By sticking with the 283 you can have it appear more mid 50's early sixties which would be more traditional. But ultimately its what kind of style you prefer...Its your car.
