cruz and tony pedragon hired my dad Pat to build them a loose recreation of there late father franks old coup bodied fuel car- dad says the boys want to run full passes in it.

car is legal nostalgia TF car except for it dosent have a floater rear end. be nice to run quicker then the fucked up looking things they are running now, there the worst , well new funnycars look worse but new front engine cars are a close second.-CF

by the way , the tubing you see in side shot was just a temp jig for some body modifications.

Your dad might be getting older but he sure isn't losing any of his talent. That's a time warp if there ever was one.

Nice. I wondered what the tubing was for. Did your dad fabricate the axle?

Those cars are/were so cool. It's like taking the altered wheel-base to the EXTREME. At least there's someting that resembles a car in there.

    Mexicans are cool....

  18. Well thats another one to add to the list....Fiat bodied dragster!

One question. How comes the Hemi has such a forward tilt?

Draw a line from the crankshaft to the center of the rear axle. then get the engine as low as it will go for wind resistance
either that or it fell of the wood blocks before the photo was snapped [IMG]

Will it have any streamlining (bodywork) in front of the engine?

It looks sweet either way but just curious?

Cole .. BRAVO to your dad ! ... another fine FOSTER job. [IMG] [IMG]

  28. Real nice, and it brought back memories! As it also got me thinking of Pete Millar´s Chicken Coupe, or the Cresent Coupe as I know it. It was sold to the UK in the early 70´s (?) and later to Sweden, here it was raced as the Cresent Coupe. I now there are some guys in the States who are looking for it, but sorry, I have no knowledge of its current whereabouts (though I guess it wont be hard to find!). Pete Millar did a lot of drawings for the Swedish magazine "Start & Speed" in the late 1960´s and his car was frequently shown in the magazine.

  29. Very cool Cole, thanks for sharing.

BTW, the Crescent Coupe got smashed on the loading dock on its trip to the UK, seems some worker left it hanging off the front of a pallet and it was smashed into a wall or the container? I forget all the details.
