Alright fellas (and ladies) ... The Central California HAMB Social Group is having a BBQ get together at Castle Park in Atwater, CA on 10 03 2009. I think most of our sorry-asses will be rollin' in around NOON or so and it will go as long as it goes. The park is located on the corners of BUHACH and BELLEVUE in the bustling metropolis of ATWATER. Located off the 99 its not a bad little drive for anyone....easy to find. This will be a pretty laid back event, no flyers, no trophies, no cover charge or entry fee,.....still working out what we are doin for FOOD but people wanted it on the MAIN BOARD to draw some more attention. SO....on 10 03 2009 if you wanna bullshit about hot rods and have a little BBQ come by CASTLE PARK in ATWATER around NOON. I'll be there....couple other people will be there, too.
Sounds good Dru. I think Ricky said he is bringing one of those big BBQs. I'm thinking everyone bring there own meat and maybe a side.
So lets make sure its perfectly clear.....BRING YOUR OWN MEAT AND A SIDE....AND PROBABLY DRINKS. And what the hell, bring drinks for me, too. Anyone else interested other than these two knuckleheads?

According to mapquest Atwater is 63 miles from Fresno, and Eagle field is 61 miles from Fresno. Two miles longer is too much for Muttley??? AND Hwy 99 pavement is much smoother than the country roads to Eagle Field.
Really? Atwater seems alot farther than 63 miles. Oh well, I guess I'll use the stayed home to watch Football excuse.

Man, 5 threads into a new membership, and I am pegged. Actually, I work on the base as civil service. I just found out about the Eagle Field event. If I had some more notice, I probably would go, as I like Eagle Field. (I am still trying to get to one of their dinner dance/fly in events) I had been sorta kinda, half hoping to get to the Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso this year. Money, and ambient air temperature are going to play a big part of it all. After a day out on the line, I really dont care to be outside any more than I have to...

Well, I have another really great excuse from a different notebook. I drove truck over the road, for 10 years. I put in about a million miles, behind the wheel. (which translates into being gone from home ALOT) Nowadays, I cant stand to drive more than the 12 miles to work... Maybe once I get my Nova running again...
