Drive from here to the west coast in a big ass GM car of the late 50s early 60s. All with the family. Drive through one of those tree tunnels. The traditional rt66 deal.

Ya know i've never been further east than Panama City?

    Go fishing in Alaska.

Buy my father the car he had to get rid of so he could raise us snot nosed brats. ('68 Chevelle SS 396)

Spoil my grandkids, and watch them put there parents through what they put me through....

Get a garage big enough to actually store all my toys.

Drive to Bonneville, (and hopefully a number of other events across the US) in a car I built myself and shipped over.

Build at least half the cars that I have in my head right now - damn they get in so much easier(and quicker) than they get out...:D

Build cars with my two sons as they grow up.

Finish my F1 and cruise out to CA for the Western Nats., then head up the CA coast to lay under the Redwoods and drink a beer, welcoming any stops along the way. That's not so much to ask, is it?

  12. I REALLY want to build my 34 Ford pickup and hopefully drive it a little bit before my eye disease gets worse. A tall order but thank goodness I'm an optimist!!! Maybe Chip Foose will kidnap my 34 and build it on Overhaulin! A guy can dream can't he?!:D

    Max

  13. Finish my hot rod, and take my Mom and Dad for a cruise, because the've been more supportive of this project, than I've deserved, for so many years. :D

You quoted what I was thinking exactly... Except my Hemi powered car is an unfinished '34 five window. Got everything else spot-on though. And, I hate the term spot-on. Ha-ha!

    1. Build a 40's style kustom, preferably a 35-39 ford, 41-48 ford or chevy or caddy, or merc or zephyr or something along those lines

    2. Drive cross country in a 40's-50's convertible with a teardrop or small (under 16 ft. vintage) trailer--like "The long long trailer" and just camp out and fish the whole way on the cheap.

    3. Finish my hotrod, with paint and interior (hopefully in the next couple months!) DONE! and its for sale in the Classifieds :(

    4. Drive it to El Mirage and make a pass Hmmmm.

    5. Ride a vintage 30's-50's motorcycle with sidecar up the entire length of the west coast. well at least from san diego, to seatle and maybe canada/alaska

    6. Go to The A-Bombers old style weekend in Sweden and camp out on the grass and watch the hill climb races

    7. Go to Bonneville speed week

    8. Start at Santa Monica Pier and take route 66 all the way to chicago.

    9. Ride a bike to Sturgis and see mount Rushmore and yellowstone.

    10. Fly in a WWII bomber and fighter plane.

    11. Own a traditional custom, Hotrod, Vintage Mahogany Speedboat, Vintage Bike, Restored Vintage trailer all at the same time.

    12. check out the Lone Star Round up

    13. Have a replica of the Ford Mystere or the Lincoln Futura made and use it as my daily driver to go to work etc.

    14. Finish my '51 triumph t100 bobber-hopefully this coming year!

    15. Build a cool '35 to '57 beater work truck

    16. Own a house with a huge garage/clubhouse with a lift, sand blaster, welders, lathe, mill, bandsaw, sheet metal break, shear, etc etc.

    17. Own a 50's sportscar. a 53-55 corvette, an early 50's jaguar xk, or 50's porsche

    18. Build a Demolition Derby Car and destroy the shit out of it.

    19. Build/Drive a Belly Tank. (I have a good buddy with 80% of the parts to build one) I should probably help him!

    20. When I finally kick the bucket, I want to be burried in a Cadillac!

Al, you just turned 51 thirteen days ago, you better hurry up if you wanna build 100 more cars! Let's say you do two full builds a year, then you'll be building cars till you're 101. But like every thing else you do, you don't give up until you achieve it, so am I invited to your 101st B-day party? I'll only be 90 years old by then.:D

Go to Bonneville, have 7 different cars with 7 different engines and drive and maintain them. Last but not least, one of the cars must have a blown motor.

There are many things I want to do in my life but there are a few that when I am on my deathbed I want to be able to say I either did or tried to do them .

    In no perticuler order

    1. Race a nitro funny car
    2. go drag racing
    3. go land speed racing
    4. build a streamliner and at least try and break a record
    5. A long shot but I want to have a go at building something that may challenge the all time land speed record currently held by the brittish .

Not exactly realistic but I can at least try .
