Have a mustang II front end on my 31 Ford. I need to replace the upper and lower control arms but, I don't know the year. The car was built in the early to mid 70's. Can you give me the years, from and to, for each time there was a change and how I may be able to detect the year under my car ?

    Thanks

    Shorty

Mustang II was built from '74 to '78 and are identical to the Pinto and Bobcat arms of the same vintage. The only difference that I know of was the springs for the V6 and V8s were of a different rate. Shouldn't make any difference as to the year. Parts are the same.

Yep different spring rates for 4, 6, 8 cyl's. The 71-73 pinto's were slightly smaller, and lighter, just enough so that they can't interchange with the 74 and up pinto's, and MII's.
