If you could get them to shape like thatI would say that's pretty close
Your ride looks nice with or without them.

I checked my Car Spotter's Guide and the only DeSoto with skirts is the 1950 DeSoto, none of the other cars with that body style had skirts. I'll attach the pages I scanned for your viewing pleasure
By the way maybe if you painted them the same color as the car you'll see just where your at? Just a thought.

I am 99.9% sure those are Foxcraft Skirts for 49-51 Shoebox Ford! If you just bought them new they're repops since Foxcraft is no longer around.

I think they would look perfect back in Big Jim's inventory. Car is so cool without them, my 2 cents, not worth the hassle. ~Sololobo~

They look like 55 chevy skirts to me also. I would sell them and try to find the right ones for the car. The car looks good with skirts just not those ones...

Big JIm needs an eye exam..if he says those are for that car.
No way...30 days or not..I'd be sending them back and getting your money back..
I bet he dont sell many of them..and he shouldnt..he should go stick his head in the corner, until he get these right

There is no way in hell that those are the correct skirts for your car. 30 Days or not, they should exchange them for the right ones at least.

So I think I'm going to try to modify the fiberglass skirts to be flush mount. Winter project I guess. How should I go about this? Here's my idea: Get skirt gasket and attach it to inner fender lip so I have the correct clearance. Spray with mold realease. Apply fiber glass to get the new profile walls. Cut out what I need off the original fender skirts. Bond everything together. Create new bracketry.

    Here's my idea

I think it can be cool if you get it flush.

But I don't think it looks that much better even with your photoshop job. I don't know, personally I don't like seeing the seam.
