Event Coverage Sept 26 2009 HAMB Cruise to the Broiler

I usually leave home at 6ish to make the HAMB breakfast. Don't worry Denise I'll cruise stealthily down the 405!
All 4 venues might constitute 'wasting gas unnecessarily' though, huh Bob?

9-10 am at georges sounds good.

 

I never "BITCH" about driving my car! But i'm sure not gonna meet at Long Beach to drive to Pomona! I'll be driving my Merc to Georges and then follow to Bob's. And I don't care which route you guys take. Did I say one fuckin thing when you guys all said "i'll meet you on the frwy" instead of coming to Yorba Linda for the Primer Nats caravan? NOPE! Give me a break...We all ended up at the same place,right?

 

Okay I am confused!!!! so you are going to georges??? Fuck it this is a cluster, I will meet you guys at the broiler....

 

I wasn't gonna go to Georges,but if I have to drive west anyways,I might as well detour south a little. Weren't you gonna meet Mitch? He's WAAAAAY past Downey!
The point I was making was,i'm not going to PapaZ's,THEN Georges,THEN cruise to Bob's.

 

Okay I understand now!!! I will call you on Friday, I am not going to meet Mitch like you said its out of the way!

OK Here is the final plan.

We are going for a straighter route to the Broiler rather than following the exact route of the ghost cruise.

Meet at George's Diner (Used to be Grisinger's Drive In, built in 1950) at 10am. We should be leaving at 10:15 barring any issues. We will travel down San Antonio to Del Amo and turn left on Bellflower Blvd. We will go north on Bellflower through old town Bellflower. Be sure to check out the old PE Railroad substation right next to the old Clock Drive In (now an Omega Burger) at Flora Vista. It was built in the 1890s, if i remember correctly, and was recently restored. The Clock Drive In was a very popular cruise spot in the 50s and 60s. Turn right on Lakewood Blvd and then left on Firestone, straight to the Broiler.

A few of us will be meeting at George's for breakfast around 9am.

Don't worry Timebomb I still cruise the Cadi but she lives in Torrance now so I was going to meet people at Astromotive first but I guess that fell thru. See you Saturday.

In case you're getting table space for everyone, we've got three in our party, Me, Megan and Scott.

Even if my car is so wicked cool that everyone is afraid to follow me to George's. (sorry my emotions are flaring today)

Is the AstroMotive spot still a go at 9:15 to 9:30? If so I'm in.

 

Talked to Mitch today, he wants to roll at 10:00, straight to the Broiler.

 

I am kicking it around , mickey might go I will ask the club tomorrow and justin, shifters called they are going.

Well I'm tryin like Hell to drive my truck over. I got a few loose ends to tie up before makin the 400 mi trip, so I have a feeling I will be up late tonite. With any luck I will see you at George's Saturday Mornin!!
