For starters, let me thank the Road Devils for hosting this super event! It was great fun! Plenty of Kewl Kars and lots of things to do. This event was far superior to a regular car show with everyone sitting around because there was so much to PARTICIPATE IN. The weather was perfect! Great Swap Meet! Drag Racing! Autocross! A Wedding?! The BEST part was the mello PEOPLE! Road Devils... You Guys are ACES!

HAMB member FLOORED led the way out to National Trails. This is about the only view I got of FLOORED all day because his V-8 "T" is so quick!

The Road Devils were sharing the grounds with a Sports Car Club of America group. The SCCA was primarily running imports/sport compacts/tuners. They were okay with the Hot Rodders driving the AUTOCROSS course too.

My Jalopy is above on the left... The skinny White Wall Tires and tall Buggy Spring Suspension made my car completely unsuitable for an Autocross event, but, that didn't stop me from running it!

I tried the "Smooth is Faster" technique. The Jalopy was left in low gear and I feathered the throttle to accelerate or slow down. First run was a little scary... I didn't want to do anything to embarass myself... Second and succeeding runs were more FUN each time! The challenge to go thru each time a little faster really added to the thrill! This could be addicting!

FLOORED's low slung "T", stiff suspension, V-8 power and driving skill made him very good at Autocross! His only detriment was the Drag Slicks on the back that once caused a spin-out.

FLOORED gunning it for the exit!

The cones you see down were done by the silly sport compact Guys! HAMBers have better driving skill than that!

One of the other HAMBers to invade the sport compact turf was ARTIE B!

This car is a neat example of a period correct 1960's stocker. It is a Father & Son project and his Son takes credit for the design! Artie Jr. searched thru his collection of Hot Wheels for inspiration to build the above car. The Boy isn't even old enough to drive yet and will become the owner/driver when he turns 16. LUCKY KID!!! GREAT DAD!!!

I have a weakness for Edsels. This one is really GNARLEY!

Drag Racing went on all day... Anyone who paid admission & passed tech inspection got almost unlimited access to the strip. I regret that I got side-tracked on the Autocross and visiting with other Car Folks that I didn't get any pics of the Drag Strip Action:(. I guess that will be my mission for next year!

Thanks again Road Devils for a great event! You are the BEST! See you next year!

Actually the cones are down and pointed in the direction of the course on purpose. Gives the driver kinda a headsup to the direction of the next curve.

    Thanks for sharing your photos.

Yeah, I noticed when I was handed my copy at the GG Spokane WA event last month and was flipping thru it. When I mention to the girl at registration that my car was in the annual and showed her the photo she was pretty excited for me and handed me a couple of extra copies. Really nice of her.
